Quitkick

“I wanted a safe, humane way to stop my horse injuring itself. Nothing existed in the equine market, so I invented Quitkick!.”

- Owen Evans (founder)

Owen Evans

Founder

QuitKick was founded in 2010 by Owen Evans, a life long horseman. The son of a well-regarded horse breeder, Owen grew up in rural Surrey, United Kingdom and was riding by the age of 4. In his early years he competed in all equestrian disciplines, from showing ponies to hunter trials, show jumping and dressage. In his late teens and early twenties he devoted his life to the horseracing industry and had numerous successful associations with trainers such as Simon Sherwood (rider of Desert Orchid) and Henrietta Knight (3 time Cheltenham Gold cup winner).

When his professional riding came to an end Owen was able to transfer the grit and determination he had learned on horseback to the invention and development of the worldwide success story that is now the QuitKick brand. He continues to this day to be the driving force behind product development and the day to day running of the business in the United Kingdom. Outside of business Owen is a keen mountain biker and is also heavily involved in coaching teenagers at his local rugby club.
